More Transparency, More Flexibility: Two New Extensions for FabEagle®Monitoring and EquipmentCloud®

With two new extensions, we are further advancing EquipmentCloud® and, at the same time, strengthening FabEagle®Monitoring, our on-premise shopfloor management software for factory operators that builds on it. While EquipmentCloud® provides equipment manufacturers with a digital customer portal, FabEagle®Monitoring uses the same technological foundation to deliver maximum transparency directly in production.

Extended SEMI E10 Machine Sub-States: Enabling Deeper Analysis

The SEMI E10 standard defines several machine states such as Productive, Standby, Scheduled Down, Unscheduled Down, and Non-Scheduled. These states provide an initial overview for evaluating machine availability. However, this level of classification is often not sufficient when analyzing root causes in detail. For example, a state such as Scheduled Down may represent planned maintenance or a changeover. Similarly, Unscheduled Down can have different causes depending on whether the downtime results from waiting times, repair activities, or restart procedures.

This is where extended machine sub-states come into play. Individual events can be assigned precisely to these sub-states, adding a new level of analytical detail instead of hiding causes in aggregated categories. The machine sub-states are consistently integrated into charts, reports, and dashboards and are automatically considered in KPI calculations. This allows teams in production, process engineering, and maintenance to identify correlations faster, discuss issues based on data, and prioritize improvement measures more effectively.

Custom Apps: More Flexibility through Customer-Specific Applications

At the same time, the concept of Custom Apps provides a stable and structured framework for integrating customer-specific applications into FabEagle®Monitoring and EquipmentCloud® – ranging from third-party software to individual extensions.

For example, batch analyses for individual runs can be combined with trend curves, alarms, and journal entries. Applications such as Andon boards or Gemba dashboards can also be integrated on a project-specific basis. In addition, third-party solutions such as spare-parts catalogs or training systems can be embedded directly. We rely on a standardized approach that remains maintainable and scalable over time. This allows our customers to stay adaptable while preserving the stability of the overall system architecture.

Whether for distributed machines at customer sites or directly on the shop floor, these two extensions for EquipmentCloud® and FabEagle®Monitoring provide greater clarity for analysis and more flexibility in implementation. This combination is what makes the difference when turning data into real operational improvements.
