AIS Automation Dresden Expands with New American Office in Oregon

German software company opens new office in Hillsboro to help meet growing automation software demand in America.

February 13, 2012 – Dresden, Germany – AIS Automation Dresden, headquartered in Dresden/ Germany, and AIS Romaric, headquartered in Sandy/ Utah are expanding their international presence with the opening of an additional American office located in Hillsboro/Oregon. The office is scheduled to be open and fully operational on February 17, 2012.

“We are thrilled to add this office in The United States,” said Eckhard Schoebel, general manager of AIS Automation Dresden. “There is a strong need for automation software in America and this office will open many doors to us. This part of the country has a thriving technology sector. We feel strongly the business environment is healthy and ready for us to increase our presence here in Oregon, and America.”

The office, operating under the name of AIS Romaric, will be comprised of an eight-person team with an emphasis on software development and engineering. Frank Tannhaeuser, who will serve as director of operations, will lead the team.

Founded in 1990, and with more than 150 employees worldwide, AIS Automation Dresden specializes in innovative systems and software that are flexible and affordable in the fields of automation and information technology.

The office in Hillsboro will be a joint office between AIS and Meyer Burger. AIS Romaric was the first office to operate inside the United States out of Sandy, UT. AIS Romaric serves as the software development and service arm for AIS in the United States. With the joint office in Hillsboro AIS and Meyer Burger will now supply PV services, automation software solutions and support customers around the US out of one hand at a much higher level.

“We have many established clients in the Portland area,” said Rory Gagon, president, AIS Romaric. “This new office gives us the chance to be in closer contact with them and enables us to better meet their needs while increasing our footprint in the Northwest.”

To celebrate the opening of the office AIS will host an open house for anyone interested in attending, or wishing to learn more about the company on February 17, 2012 from 03:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m.
