We Cycle for a Good Climate

Once again this year, we took part in the nationwide city cycling competition with a dedicated team to cycle as many everyday journeys as possible in 21 days in a climate-friendly way. In this way, we made our contribution to climate protection and replaced the car for both business and private journeys.

In order to draw attention to the needs of cyclists, the city cycling campaign is also aimed at local politicians, who decide on the cycling infrastructure and thus practical climate protection on site.

This year, we cycled a total of 8,633 kilometres as a team and saved 1,433 kg of CO2 in the process. This put us in an impressive 40th place in the municipality of Dresden with a total of 640 teams!

This year, we gave the competition an extra boost by competing directly against the IT company DUALIS GmbH IT Solutions. For every kilometre cycled, we donated 0.10 euros to the ‘Calliope mini’ programming project for children run by Silicon Saxony e.V.

In addition, this year we are foregoing gifts for our cyclists and instead donating 250 euros to the bicycle workshop of the children's and youth farm Nickern to promote cycling in the region.
