On Sunday it is time again – the first candle on the Advent wreath will be lighted. The Advent season begins and heralds the last weeks of the year – with joyful strolls through the Christmas market, the planning and preparing of traditional festive dishes, the uplifting music of the season, the baking and snacking of Christmas cookies or decorating the Christmas tree together. Therefore we wish our customers a wonderful and stress-free Advent season, but at the same time we would like to remember those less fortunate then us. Therefore, instead of sending the typical Christmas gifts, we have made a charitable donation to Germany’s Relief Coalition “Aktion Deutschland Hilft e.V.”. The non-profit organization is a union of 24 renowned relief organizations – like Malteser, Johanniter and the ASB – that can provide rapid and effective aid in case of large catastrophes and emergency situations abroad. Due to the union of the different associations a more efficient utilization of the donations as well as a faster and better organization of the supply is assured. With our donation we hope to ease the plight of those in need.
